Chemical Wedding, tel est le titre du film d'horreur réalisé par Julian Doyle. Particularité du long métrage, celui-ci a été scénarisé par Bruce Dickinson, le chanteur du combo anglais de heavy metal Iron Maiden.

Le chanteur signera également la bande originale du film qui raconte l'histoire d'un professeur de Cambridge qui va se réincarner en Aleister Crowley, le mystérieux et célèbre occultiste britannique.

Dickinson fera aussi une apparition clin d'oeil dans Chemical Wedding. Le film sera proposé en avant-première le 17 mai prochain au Festival de Cannes.

Pour rappel, Dickinson avait déjà sorti un album intitulé The Chemical Wedding en 1998, un opus qui tirait son inspiration des travaux du peintre anglais William Blake.

Pour les amateurs d'Iron Maiden, la formation assurera plusieurs dates dans nos contrées: le 29 juin au Graspop Festival de Dessel (Belgique), le 1er et 2 juillet à Paris Bercy -le concert du 1er juillet est déjà complet- et le 14 août au St Jakobshalle de Bâle (Suisse).

UK's What Records will release "Chemical Wedding - Original Soundtrack" on May 19 according to Blabbermouth.net.
Despite previous suggestions that the soundtrack would feature all new songs from Bruce, and the rather ironic title "Original" soundtrack, the album features no new material but does feature two Bruce songs and two Maiden songs.
